Intensive and practice-orientated international seminar
on garden art and garden construction in Japan

The application fee for the intensive and practice-orientated seminar on garden art and garden construction includes:
- 10 days intensive education on Japanese garden art and Japanese garden construction, conducted by skillful and experienced landscape gardeners, landscape architects and professional teachers. There will be three hours lecture/seminar in the morning and five hours workshop in the afternoon on every weekday (except on the weekend).
- 13 nights accommodation in traditional Japanese styled Tatami-rooms in the Seminar House (Accommodation is in Double Rooms. Accommodation in a Single Room in the Seminar House is only possible if available and at a surcharge of 450 EURO).
- Good breakfast in the morning and lunch box on all 10 days with lectures and workshops (= weekdays) during the seminar.
- Costs for materials, which will be used during the seminar.
- Costs for prints, which will be provided by lecturers and instructors during the seminar.
- Complementary drinks during breaks on all 10 seminar days.
- All transport to on-site workshops during the seminar.
- Costs for the WELCOME-PARTY after arriving at the Seminar House and costs for the SAYONARA-PARTY at the end of the seminar.
The following costs are not included in the application fee for the seminar:
- Individual international transport from your country of residence to Tokyo/Narita, Japan. In order to be flexible and encourage people from all over the world to take part in our seminar, we do not have a flight- inclusive price for the seminar. We advise overseas participants to book their international flights to Tokyo/ Narita as early as possible.
- Transport from Tokyo/Narita international airport to Atami after arriving in Japan. The estimated transport cost will be 3000 YEN / approx. 19 EURO for a single journey in a local train. The time required for traveling will be about 3 hours. The distance from Tokyo to Atami is 177km. Detailed information on how to get to Atami after arriving in Japan will be sent to every participant after application, according to his/her individual arriving date and arriving time.
- Transport from Atami to Tokyo/Narita international airport, if the participant departs individually from the Seminar House and will not use the provided free transport to the airport on Saturday, 27. February.
- All evening meals. In the evening participants can, according to their own wishes, mood and individual taste, choose to go out for dinner at one of the many restaurants downtown, order food or cook by themselves in the kitchen of the Seminar House. Every evening, after finishing the workshop and relaxing in the Onsen-bath, there will be a chance to go downtown for dinner by car.
- Costs for all meals and drinks during the free weekend days.
- Costs for any individually booked OPTIONAL TOUR after the seminar.
- Personal Travel, Accident and Health insurance.
- Personal Passport and visa document fees, as necessary.
